Business challenge
The interactive agency at Fidelity Investments needed an information architect and Web copywriter to work on the company intranet. Fidelity Investments is the largest mutual fund company in the United States and one of the largest financial services companies in the world.
What I did
I first helped to design the user interface for a new discussion area on the intranet, then wrote text for it. A straightforward IA project followed: structuring a sub-site where employees could learn to improve their business development skills. Both projects inspired me to propose and develop a questionnaire that helped employees plan new areas on Fidelity’s intranet
Impact
Both the discussion area and the business development site passed inspection higher up, but got mothballed for internal business reasons. My Intranet Site Planner was posted to very positive reviews.
High point: Proposing and building team support for the Intranet Site Planner–it filled a real need!
